Posted on Jul 14, 2017Tomorrow, Saturday, is WSA’s outing to Patchings Art Festival.
If you are with us for the day please remember the coach will leave St Martins Church at 8.30am.
Hopefully we should arrive as the festival opens for the day at 10.00am giving time to book tickets for demonstrations.
Some demonstrations are free, for others there is a charge of £2.75. These will become evident when you are given a plan of the festival grounds after arrival.
Demonstrations are timed so make sure you are aware of where the correct marquee is.
St. Cuthbert’s Mill demo’s ; 10.45 David Bellamy, 12.45 Carn Griffiths, 14.45 Ken Howard (illustrated talk)
Mattew Palmer will demonstrate in the Search Press marquee (M14) at 11.00am
Charles Evans will be giving 4 demonstrations in the Winsor and Newton marquee (M15). Times 11.00am, 12.30pm, 14.00am, 15.30am.
Ann Blockley will be in the Guest Artist marquee (M28) for the day.
Stephen Ashhurst will be in marquee 27 along with printer Laura Boswell (always worth seeing) and silversmith Angus McFadgen.
There are free demo’s of glass blowing hourly, 11am to 4pm.
If you have time to visit the gallery courtyard look out for work by Ron Law in one of the galleries.
