Walsall MakerFest 2025

Calling all artists and Makers

Walsall Council, Urban Hax and the New Art Gallery Walsall, have asked us to distribute details on the Walsall Makers Fest, which many of you took part in last year.

Bringing together of Walsall’s Creative Communities to share and celebrate our diverse artistic talents. Last year the event attracted 50K people to Walsall’s town centre and this year is set to be even bigger. There will be a makers market you can apply for stalls, these will be free to local artists. Jayne who took part last year displaying and selling her ceramics said “It was a fabulous day”, others said We got there about 11 o’clock. The crowd was amazing, and tents, all very neat, stretched from the Art Gallery almost up to the church.   The main event took place in front of the gallery and people were drawn to this; there was dancing and music and fantastic acrobats, all young people who were so enthusiastic   .

The Makers’ Market will return with 50 stalls available for artists, crafters, designers, food artisans, tech creatives, and more. Applications are now open and can be submitted via this form: https://online1.snapsurveys.com/maker-fest-2025. The deadline to apply is Sunday 13 July 2025, and successful applicants will be notified during the week commencing 21 July 2025.

In addition to the market, the one-day festival will once again feature a vibrant mix of music, dance, performance, workshops, storytelling, fashion and more from the region’s most talented creatives. The full programme will be announced in August.

Walsall MakerFest is delivered by Walsall Council in partnership with local non-profit Urban Hax, The New Art Gallery Walsall, and Walsall Cultural Compact. It has been supported by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)’s Cultural Development Fund: Round Three through Arts Council England.
