Exhibition of the collaborative work of Walsall Society of Artists and Walsall Society of Poets at the Crossings from 21st September – 28th October 2023
The Deputy Mayor of Walsall, Cllr Anthony Harris opened the launch of the Art Exhibition at The Crossings on the evening of Thursday 21st September. A fabulous event where the poets read their poems inspired by the artists paintings.
Demonstrations and recitals were held on the 23rd September and Walsall Society of Artists member Eteri Potapova reviewed the days events. The Event at the Crossings in Walsall held by the Walsall Society of Artists – 23/09/23 was truly inspiring and exciting.
Seeing real talented Artists and getting to know their works was unforgettable.
From the first minutes of entering the building, the atmosphere of Art enveloped me, creating a special mood and desire to immerse myself in the world of artistic masterpieces.
The Exhibition, organized on behalf of the WSA, was a source of inspiration and surprise for me. It featured works by 30 prominent local Artists.
The Exhibition amazed with the variety of creative ideas and techniques used by the Artists. From classic oil paintings to contemporary experiments with materials, each painting in the Exhibition was an expression of unique personality and artistic skill.
The atmosphere at the Exhibition was permeated with creative energy and admiration for Art.
Musical performances and poetry readings added depth and layers to the overall experience.
The Artists in this Exhibition clearly demonstrated their talent and passion for creativity, leaving me in awe of their skill and unique vision.
Especially, I remember the unique paintings by Pam Reinhard – with windows filled full of light. Each painting made me think and took me into its own world.
Simon Tew’s talented works was incredibly impressive. His paintings, executed in the author’s original style, reflected wild nature and the spirit of animals. Picturesque images of elephants, monkeys and other inhabitants of Nature gave a feeling of intimacy with the animal world and admiration for its beauty.
Each painting was executed with great attention to detail and conveyed the emotions of the subjects being studied.
But the Exhibition would not be complete without the work of Jean Walker with her special approach to the use of color palette. Her Paintings with their bright and soulful colors created an atmosphere of mystery, beauty and grandeur of Nature.
Overall, this Exhibition was a source of inspiration and aesthetic pleasure. She was able to combine various forms of art – from painting to music and poetry. It is a great credit to the organizers of the exhibition and to the Walsall Society of Artists, that they have created a space in which creativity can flourish and Art can flourish.
They gave Artists the opportunity to share their works and convey their inner vision of the world.
I am Grateful to every Artist who presented their work at this Exhibition, and to the organizers who made this event possible.
This Exhibition showed that Art has incredible power to inspire, change ideas about the World and evoke deep emotions.
Thank You Eteri for the fantastic review.
Please come and support the exhibition which is on until 28th October 2023 and there will be another WSA demonstration day on Saturday 7th October 10am – 2pm
