Graham Short’s new venture.
Posted on Dec 07, 2016Micro-engraver, Graham Short, who opened Walsall Society of Artists exhibition at the New Gallery Walsall last week, has ventured into engraving onto the new style five pound notes.
He has chosen to engrave tiny portraits of Jane Austin and quotes from her books below the £ sign next to Big Ben. A mocroscope is needed to read the quotes .
Graham has already spent two of the notes, one in a pub in Northern Ireland and the other in a cafe in Scotland. He plans to use the other two in cafes in the Midlands and South wales.
It is thought that each note could easily be worth up to £ 50,000.
So it’s eyes peeled and magifyers at the ready!
Just to help, the notes have consecutive numbers; AM32 885551, AM32 885552, AM32 885553 and AM32 885554
